Our rattan wall art and baskets are the flagship product of the From Flores home decor collection. Sourced exclusively from our cooperative of 12 Manggarai women weavers in West Flores, each piece is handwoven using locally-harvested rattan and bamboo.
The natural variations in rattan fiber mean every piece carries its own character. Our weavers use traditional geometric patterns from Manggarai cultural heritage: the nggong (circle of life), the compang (ceremonial gathering place), and the mbaru niang (the iconic conical house of Wae Rebo).
All pieces are finished with natural beeswax to protect and preserve the fiber without synthetic chemicals. They are suitable for both indoor and outdoor sheltered use.
Available styles: Wall medallions (30-80cm), hanging baskets, storage baskets, decorative trays. Custom orders: Color, size, and pattern customization available for orders above 100 pieces.
